Frequently asked questions

How much should I feed my cat?

Follow the pack's feeding guide for your cat's weight — cats are prone to obesity on free-fed dry food, so measured portions (by weight, using kitchen scales rather than a scoop) are more reliable than eyeballing it. Indoor and neutered cats generally need less than the guide's top range.

Should cats eat wet or dry food?

Cats evolved with a very low natural thirst drive, so wet or fresh food is often better for hydration and urinary health, especially for cats prone to cystitis. Dry food is more convenient and can help with dental wear, but many vets recommend at least some wet food daily.

Do cats need grain-free food?

Not especially — cats are obligate carnivores and grains are a minor part of most complete diets either way. A high, meat-derived protein content and confirmed taurine levels matter more than the grain-free label; check the composition table above.

Where can I buy cat food in the UK?

Every product page on this site links directly to the UK merchants that stock it — supermarkets, pet specialists and online-only retailers — so you can compare prices before buying. See our full merchant directory.
