Almo Nature, founded in Genoa in 2000 by Pier Giovanni Capellino, launched the first natural wet cat food made with ingredients from the human food supply chain and is sold in the UK through retailers including zooplus and specialist pet shops. Since 2018 the company has been owned by Fondazione Capellino, which directs 100% of profits to cat, dog and biodiversity projects.
